  • The Washington Post’s Opinion section editor, David Shipley, has resigned after Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Washington Post, said the opinion section would now focus on defending “personal liberties and free markets” and viewpoints opposing those two pillars will be left to be published elsewhere

  • The Pew Research Center published a study reporting that the number of the U.S. population identifying as Christian is no longer declining like it has been the last 20 years and that trend may be leveling off…for the whole study click here 

  • Trump said he plans to offer a “gold card” visa with a path to citizenship for $5 million, this new system would replace the existing EB-5 program, a system launched in the 1900s to offers green cards to individuals who invested in the U.S., and serve as a route to citizenship

  • The Supreme Court seemed receptive to Marlean Ames’s argument today that she was discriminated against at work because she is heterosexual, a court ruling that allows Ames to pursue the claim would open the door for men, white people, and heterosexual people to sue for job discrimination in the future

  • President Trump says that the U.S. will be imposing 25% tariffs on "autos and other things" from the European Union

  • The Department of Agriculture reported that egg prices are predicted to rise by more than 40% in 2025

  • Influenza is overtaking Covid-19 as the deadlier virus in the U.S. this winter, for the the first time in five years, per Bloomberg

  • Amazon’s new Alexa+, which is a digital assistant powered by AI, will be free for people with Amazon Prime or $19.99 a month

  • Eli Lilly, the maker of popular diabetes and weight-loss medicines, says it will invest $27 billion in building four manufacturing plants in the U.S.

  • Bitcoin price moves lower again today, at one point it was trading below $83,000 for the first time in 15 weeks

  • DOW down .43% / S&P up .01%

  • The fragile ceasefire agreement will remain intact for now as Israel has agreed to release about 600 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the last four bodies of the hostages held by Hamas, this will complete the first phase of the ceasefire deal
