  • Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before the House Judiciary Committee in a five-hour session dominated by accusations of a DOJ "cover-up" in the handling Jeffrey Epstein files, including excessive redactions shielding powerful figures….during the testimony Bondi defended her record and clashed personally with Congressmen…watch it here

  • This morning the FAA imposed a 10-day no-fly zone over El Paso International Airport for unspecified "special security reasonsā€ā€¦the restriction was lifted hours later after U.S. military forces reportedly downed Mexican cartel drones that crossed into U.S. airspace near the border, though reports also cited ongoing counter-drone testing at nearby Fort Bliss Army base as a contributing factor

  • The Congressional Budget Office projects the U.S. budget deficit will increase to $1.853 trillion in fiscal year 2026, equating to 5.8% of GDP, up from $1.775 trillion the prior year​…by fiscal year 2036 deficits are projected to increase to $3.1 trillion (6.7% of GDP)

  • Kraft Heinz has paused its planned split into two separate companies under new CEO Steve Cahillane…instead the company will redirect resources, including a $600 million investment in marketing, R&D, product improvements, and selective pricing to revive operations

  • Meta announced it is breaking ground on a $10 billion data center campus in Lebanon, Indiana

  • The U.S. economy added 130,000 jobs in January, above economist expectations of around 75,000, the unemployment rate fell to 4.3% from 4.4% in December…also the Bureau of Labor Statistics' annual revisions revealed that U.S. job growth in 2025 totaled just 181,000 jobs, down from the initial estimate of 584,000

  • DOW down .13% / S&P was flat on the day

  • Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with President Trump at the White House to discuss U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations…Trump insisted on continuing diplomacy, preferring to try and reach a deal but warning of "very tough" consequences if an agreement with Iran is not reached

  • The UK has agreed to purchase American weapons for Ukraine through NATO's Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List program, committing $205 million primarily for critical air defense systems
