What happened today 🇺🇸,

  • President Trump held a “very good” call with Ukrainian President Zelensky today that lasted about an hour and following the meeting Trump stated "We are very much on track" for a ceasefire and the White House said Zelensky agreed to a partial ceasefire with Russia that includes stopping attacks on energy facilities…for more on the call click the article above or view here 

  • A federal judge has temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order which set out ban transgender people from serving in the military

  • The Trump Administration has paused $175 million in federal funding to the University of Pennsylvania over their decision to allow transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports

  • A North Dakota jury has found Greenpeace liable for defamation, ordering it to pay more than $650 million in damages to a Texas-based oil and pipeline company

  • The Federal Reserve has announced interest rates will remain unchanged and Fed officials have increased their inflation forecasts and lowered their growth projections

  • Ben & Jerry’s is accusing its parent company, Unilever, of firing its CEO, David Stever, earlier this month over his support for Ben & Jerry’s progressive political activism… a battle in court will be coming

  • 100 tech companies across the world have terminated 29,537 jobs during the first months of 2025 so far, with about 20,000 of those jobs being from American companies

  • The CEO of Ripple (the blockchain-based digital payment network) has said that the Securities and Exchange Commission will drop its lawsuit against Ripple…this is the latest indication that the SEC is charting a new course on crypto regulation

  • Gold today hit a new all-time high price of $3,057 an ounce

  • DOW up .92% / S&P up 1.08%

  • Israel has relaunched ground operations in Gaza

  • Police in Turkey have arrested Istanbul’s mayor, Ekrem Imamoglu, for corruption and terrorism links…Imamoglu was the main political rival of the current President Recep Tayyip Erdogan leading many critics to believe this was politically motivated and a way to crackdown on political opposition
