  • Existing home sales in the U.S. fell sharply in March dropping 5.9% from February…this is the slowest March pace since 2009

  • China has said today that there have been no tariff negotiations or conversations about easing the trade war with the U.S., this goes against what President Trump said yesterday claiming the two sides were speaking

  • Federal judge, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, has blocked parts of President Trump’s executive order requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration

  • The fast-food chain, Jack in the Box, plans to close up to 200 underperforming restaurants and is considering a sale of its Del Taco brand to streamline operations and improve financial performance

  • 68% of parents with children under the age of 6 say their kids need a ‘detox’ from technology, per Fortune

  • The number of Americans who filed for first-time unemployment benefits rose last week but was in-line with expectations, jobless claims for the week ending April 19th came in at 222k which was expected, however up 6k from the week prior

  • The average rate on the 30-year fixed mortgage in the U.S. fell slightly to 6.81% from last week's 6.83%

  • DOW up 1.23% S&P up 2.03%

  • Factories in China have begun slowing production and laying off some workers due to tariffs, per Financial Times

  • At least 8 people were killed and more than 80 others were injured in an overnight Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv…President Trump responded by saying he is “not happy” after Russia launched its deadliest set of attacks on Ukraine in nine months and via social media Trump told Putin to “STOP!” as he attempts to push Ukraine to agree on a ceasefire proposal
