• The Pentagon announced today that the Trump administration has formally accepted the Boeing 747 jet that was gifted to the government from Qatar to be used as Air Force One

• The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, now a leading candidate for NYC mayor, over allegations that he misled Congress about his administration’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis, particularly regarding nursing home deaths…Cuomo’s spokesperson has denied any wrongdoing and labeled the investigation as politically motivated “lawfare”

• The Trump Organization, led by Eric Trump (President Trump’s son), broke ground on a $1.5 billion luxury residential development which includes multiple golf courses and will be called Trump International Hung Yen near Hanoi, Vietnam…read more about it here

• House of Representatives member, Gerry Connolly (D-VA), has passed away at the age of 75 after a battle with esophageal cancer

• OpenAI is acquiring the startup called io, which is an AI device company co-founded by former Apple design chief Jony Ive…it will be an all-stock deal valued at nearly $6.5 billion

• UnitedHealth allegedly secretly paid nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers for sick residents in an effort to cut costs, but put residents' health at risk

• TikTok is preparing for possible layoffs within its U.S. e-commerce division, the company instructed the e-commerce team to work from home while awaiting details about "organizational and personnel changes" as part of a broader restructuring

• Bitcoin price has hit an all-time high of $109,888

• DOW down 1.91% / S&P down 1.61%

• The EU and Britain have jointly imposed new sanctions on Russia in an effort to put more pressure on Putin and bring about a ceasefire
