🗞️Instagram's new PG-13 content guidelines

• Instagram announced it will begin restricting content for teenage users on its platform to match the PG-13 movie rating standard, limiting exposure to nudity, strong language, sexual content, violence, dangerous stunts, drug references, and other adult themes…teen accounts will be automatically set to these new safeguards and only parents can adjust the restrictions

• The U.S. military conducted another strike on a boat off the coast of Venezuela, killing six individuals suspected of drug trafficking…this marks the fifth such military operation…read more here

• The man charged in the April arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s residence, Cody Balmer, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison…Balmer admitted to charges including attempted murder, arson, burglary, and terrorism for setting the fire while Shapiro, his family, guests, and state troopers were inside

• President Trump met with Argentina's President Milei at the White House today, the meeting highlighted their close political alignment, with discussions focused on economic support, trade cooperation including tariff negotiations, and the importance of Milei's success in Argentina's upcoming midterm elections…watch the meeting here

• The Department of Justice seized $15 billion in Bitcoin from the "Prince Group," a Cambodian-based pig butchering scam ring that used forced labor and human trafficking to operate large-scale cryptocurrency fraud targeting victims worldwide…the alleged leader, Chen Zhi, remains at large while prosecutors revealed the scam involved extensive phone farms, violent coercion, and laundering stolen funds through shell companies in the U.S.

• The State Department said it has revoked the visas of six people for their comments on the death of Charlie Kirk

• The Supreme Court rejected Alex Jones’s appeal and left in place the $1.4 billion defamation judgment against him for his claims that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax

• Maine’s Democratic Governor, Janet Mills, officially announced that she is running for the U.S. Senate in 2026, entering the race to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Susan Collins

• Walmart has partnered with OpenAI to enable shoppers to browse and purchase products directly through ChatGPT using the AI's new "Instant Checkout" feature…this partnership aims to transform traditional e-commerce shopping into a conversational, personalized experience, allowing customers to plan meals, restock essentials, and make purchases simply by chatting

• The maker of the popular smart ring, Oura, has raised $900 million in a Series E funding round led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, valuing the company at approximately $11 billion

• Spotify and Netflix are partnering to bring Spotify's video podcasts to Netflix starting in early 2026, initially focusing on a curated selection of sports, culture, lifestyle, and true crime podcasts from Spotify Studios and The Ringer
