• The U.S. carried out strikes in Yemen’s capital targeting the Houthi rebels, which are an Iran backed terror group

• The woman burned to death on the NYC subway had finally been identified by police, her name was Debrina Kawam a 61-year-old from NJ

• A Virginia man was arrested after federal authorities found a cache of homemade explosive devices, some of which were marked as "lethal," at his home, marking the largest seizure of finished explosive devices in FBI history

• Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, made an awkward mistake as he sent condolences to President Carter’s wife, who had already passed away in 2023

• The New York Stock Exchange will be closed January 9th in honor of President Carter

• The housing market saw active listings in November were 12.1% higher than they were in November 2023 and hit the highest level since 2020, according to a new report from Redfin. This means that as the year comes to a close there is a lot more housing supply for sale, however much of that supply is old and has been sitting unsold for much longer than normal
