• House of Representative member, Shri Thanedar (D-MI), has introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump

• Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has reintroduced legislation that would ban members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks while in office, it’s called the PELOSI Act which stands for “Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments”

• Presently Trump has sign an executive order requiring state and federal officials to compile a nationwide list of sanctuary cities and states in order to find out who is not complying with federal immigration laws and an executive order mandating that truck drivers demonstrate proficiency in speaking English

• The Trump administration has been discussing options for potentially restarting dialogue with Kim Jung Un and North Korea, despite the country's strengthened nuclear position and shifting global alliances

• Federal agents raided an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado and arrested over 100 suspected undocumented immigrants

• IBM plans to invests $150 billion in the U.S. over next five years

• DOW up .28% / S&P up .06%

• Spain and Portugal have been hit by massive blackouts, knocking out electricity across both countries causing traffic lights to shut off and chaos at airports, train stations, and on the roads

• It’s Election Day in Canada and Canadians are voting on who will be the next Prime Minister…despite multiple political parties running candidates for PM, it’s mainly a two-horse race between current PM and liberal party candidate Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre the conservative party candidate…for live updates click here

• Russian President Putin announced a temporary ceasefire for the war in Ukraine and said the ceasefire would run for 3 days from May 8th-10th to allow Russia to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in WWII
