  • President Trump visited the Federal Reserve headquarters to tour the multibillion-dollar renovation project of two historic Fed buildings, marking a rare presidential visit to the central bank…this visit also served as part of Trump’s ongoing pressure campaign on Fed Chair Powell to lower interest rates, though he said he does not plan to fire Powell

  • Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche, met with Ghislaine Maxwell in Tallahassee, Florida today to discuss information Maxwell might have regarding Jeffrey Epstein and others who may have committed crimes…as of writing this there have been no reports on what happened during the meeting or how the meeting went…more to come

  • President Trump has signed an executive order that makes it easier for cities and states to remove homeless people from the streets by rolling back legal restrictions and shifts federal funding to help move homeless individuals into treatment and rehab centers…read more here 

  • Columbia University has agreed to pay a $200 million settlement to the federal government, along with an additional $21 million to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, to resolve multiple investigations into alleged violations of anti-discrimination laws, mainly about the university’s handling of antisemitism on campus…in exchange, the Trump administration will restore nearly all of the $400 million in federal research funding that had been frozen since March

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is relocating a lot of its Washington, D.C. area employees to five new spots which include Raleigh, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Fort Collins, and Salt Lake City, as part of a major reorganization to move workers closer to farmers and ranchers across the country

  • The U.S. Department of Justice has sued New York City and its officials over its sanctuary city laws

  • Republican National Committee Chair, Michael Whatley, will be running for the open U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina in 2026 after current Senator Thom Tillis announced he would not seek reelection and would retire

  • WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan, has died at the age of 71 following a reported cardiac arrest at his home in Florida

  • Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern have confirmed they are in advanced talks regarding a potential merger that would create the largest railroad in North America, combining Union Pacific’s stronghold in the western two-thirds of the country with Norfolk Southern’s extensive network across 22 eastern states
