• The Trump administration’s Border czar, Tom Homan, announced the administration will end the immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota

• Coinbase confirmed a temporary service disruption preventing some users from buying, selling, or transferring cryptocurrencies on their platform today, though customer funds remained safe and unaffected…the issue was identified by Coinbase and been fixed

• Anthropic announced they are donating $20 million to Public First Action, which is a bipartisan advocacy group that is tied to two super PACs supporting candidates in the 2026 midterms who favor AI safety regulations and transparency

• Anthropic also closed a $30 billion Series G funding round, valuing the company at $380 billion

• Existing-home sales in the U.S. dropped 8.4% in January from December to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.91 million units, this marks the largest monthly decline since February 2022 and the lowest level since late 2023

• DOW down 1.34% / S&P down 1.57%

• Russia's government has blocked Meta-owned WhatsApp affecting over 100 million users for the app's alleged non-compliance with local data storage and content moderation laws
