Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives, announced that she will retire from Congress at the end of her current term which ends January 3rd, 2027…Pelosi is 85 years old
President Trump announced a deal with pharmaceutical companies Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to lower the prices of their popular weight loss drugs, including Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, and others…the agreement will reduce monthly costs from as high as $1,350 down to between $149 and $350 per month depending on dosage and insurance coverage, with eligible Medicare and Medicaid patients benefiting from lower prices…the new pricing will be available through a planned TrumpRx pharmaceutical website and is expected to begin rolling out as early as January 2026
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officially announced it will reduce flight capacity by 10% at 40 major U.S. airports starting Friday due to staffing shortages and fatigue among air traffic controllers working without pay amid the ongoing government shutdown…view the airports that will be impacted here
