• The Justice Department has opened an antitrust investigation into the NFL over whether its fragmented, subscription-based TV and streaming model and related fees are anti‑competitive and unfair to consumers

• California AG, Rob Bonta, announced arrests and charges against 21 people tied to an alleged Los Angeles–area hospice fraud ring accused of stealing about $267 million from Medi‑Cal through fake hospice bills

• First Lady Melania Trump addressed the nation from the White House today to deny having any friendship or meaningful connection with Jeffrey Epstein, insisting she is not his victim, that he did not introduce her to Donald Trump, and that her email to Ghislaine Maxwell was merely “casual correspondence”

• Automatic registration into the U.S. military draft pool for eligible men will begin by December 2026, shifting from today’s self-registration system to automatic enrollment using federal data under a change mandated in the National Defense Authorization Act…this move is meant to streamline Selective Service registration and save money, but it does not itself reinstate the draft, which would still require separate action by Congress and the president in a national emergency

• Meta has begun removing ads from law firms on Facebook and Instagram that seek clients claiming they were harmed by social media as minors

• Disney is planning to eliminate up to 1,000 jobs in the coming weeks, with many of the cuts expected to hit the company’s marketing department

• Amazon Pharmacy will stock Eli Lilly’s newly approved oral weight-loss pill, Foundayo, at kiosks in some of its One Medical clinics and offer same-day delivery in select U.S. markets…read more here

• February PCE inflation, the Fed's preferred inflation measure, came in at 2.8% year over year, which was in-line with expectations…core PCE inflation came in at 3.0% year over year, which was in-line with expectations

• Mortgage rates fell for the first time in over a month, with the average 30‑year fixed‑rate mortgage decreasing to 6.37%, down from 6.46% a week earlier

• S&P up .62% / Nasdaq up .83%/ DOW up .58%

• The U.S.–Iran ceasefire remains technically in place but is badly strained, as Iran’s President warned Iran could walk away, arguing that continued Israeli strikes in Lebanon violate the truce…the Strait of Hormuz is only partially open and heavily restricted, as ship traffic is sharply reduced and dominated by Iran‑linked vessels…President Trump has privately asked Israeli PM Netanyahu to scale back Lebanon strikes so they do not wreck the ceasefire or upcoming U.S.–Iran talks, and Netanyahu has said Israel will begin direct talks with Lebanon
