Last month, streaming services accounted for 44.8% of all television viewership, their largest share to date.

  • According to a new Nielsen report, streaming services surpassed the combined viewership of cable and broadcast TV for the first time ever in May, streaming accounted for 44.8% of all television usage compared to 44.2% for traditional TV (broadcast and cable)

  • The Senate officially passed the GENIUS Act which stands for “Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins Act”, it is legislation aimed at creating a clear regulatory framework for stablecoins and other digital assets in the U.S., it now moves to the House of Representatives for a vote

  • President Trump has escalated his rhetoric, demanding Iran's "unconditional surrender" and warning that U.S. patience is "wearing thin," while also claiming that the U.S. has "complete control of the skies over Iran" and threatening severe retaliation if Iran targets American forces or interests…Axios reported that President Trump is “seriously considering” joining the war against Iran and launching a strike against nuclear facilities…this is a developing story

  • House of Representative member, Thomas Massie (R-KY) has introduced a bipartisan War Powers Resolution that would require congressional approval for the U.S. to get involved in Iran

  • President Trump left the G7 summit early and returned to Washington D.C. to focus on the war in the Middle East

  • Former New Jersey Senator, Bob Menendez, has reported to a federal prison in Pennsylvania to begin serving his 11-year sentence for bribery and acting as an agent of a foreign government

  • Amazon has extended its Prime Day event to four days up from two and it will go from July 8th to July 11th

  • OpenAI has won a $200 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense to develop advanced AI tools for national security, including proactive cyber defense, administrative efficiency, and improved healthcare access for service members

  • Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI is in talks to raise $4.3 billion in new equity funding, on top of the $5 billion in debt financing, as the company rapidly burns through cash to support its resource-intensive AI projects like the Grok chatbot

  • Kraft Heinz announced it will remove artificial dyes from its U.S. products by the end of 2027 and will no longer launch any new products with artificial colors

  • DOW down .70% / S&P down .84%

  • Russia launched a massive overnight missile and drone attack on Ukraine mainly targeting Kyiv…the attack killed at least 15 people and injured over 150 others, making it the deadliest strike on the capital this year
