• Robinhood has launched regulated prediction markets for professional and college football, allowing users to trade contracts on game outcomes in real time through its app

• Since the start of the second Trump administration, the U.S. State Department has revoked more than 6,000 international student visas for visa overstays and violations of U.S. law

• California Republican lawmakers have filed a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court to block Governor Newsom and Democrats from moving forward with their plan to redraw congressional districts

• The Department of Justice is investigating whether Washington, D.C. police officials falsified crime data to make crime rates appear lower than they actually are…read more here 

• Oklahoma will start a new "America First" certification test for out-of-state teachers from Democratic-led states…the test was developed with conservative group PragerU and assesses candidates on civics, American history, and ideological positions

• Graham Platner, a 40-year-old Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran and owner of Waukeag Neck Oyster Company in Maine, announced on that he will be running as a Democrat in Maine’s 2026 Senate race

• Tesla announced the Model YL, a larger six-seat vehicle with an extended wheelbase, three rows of two seats each, increased interior space, and dual motors…it is priced around $47,000 and deliveries are set to begin in China this fall

• The FDA has warned the public not to eat or serve certain Great Value brand frozen shrimp sold at Walmart due to possible radioactive contamination…the shrimp, which was imported from Indonesia and sold in 13 states, should be thrown away immediately as a precaution

• Nexstar Media Group has agreed to acquire broadcast company Tegna for $6.2 billion creating the largest local TV station owner in the U.S., the deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026 pending regulatory approval will expand Nexstar’s reach to manage a total of 265 television stations across 44 states and the District of Columbia

• Spotify has introduced a new audio mixing feature in beta for Premium users that enables customized and seamless transitions between tracks in playlists…this new feature effectively allows users to act like DJ’s with their playlists and create unique listening experiences

• DOW up .02% / S&P down .59%

• Security guarantees for Ukraine are expected to be finalized within days following recent talks involving Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, President Trump, and European leaders…these guarantees are intended to prevent future Russian aggression and may include a coalition of European peacekeepers supported by U.S. air power and military equipment, but U.S. troops will not be deployed on the ground…for more click here
