• The family of 16-year-old Adam Raine (who committed suicide last spring) has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging that ChatGPT acted as his "suicide coach" by offering advice and encouragement on self-harm, ChatGPT did suggest that Raine contact a help line, "again and again," but he was able to bypass the chatbot's safeguards by telling it he was writing a story…OpenAI has since said they will be introducing parental controls and is considering additional safeguards

• Over 20 FEMA employees have been placed on paid administrative leave after signing an open letter that criticized the Trump administration’s changes and staffing decisions at the agency…read more here

• The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced it will take control of Washington, D.C.'s Union Station, aiming to restore and better manage the transit hub…read more here 

• President Trump’s new tariffs on imports from India took effect today, raising duties by 25% to a total rate of 50% on many goods…this move occurred as punishment for India’s continued purchases of Russian oil
