What happened today 🇺🇸,

• National Public Radio (NPR) has sued the Trump administration over President Trump’s executive order to cut all federal funding for NPR and PBS…NPR says President Trump’s executive order is unconstitutional violating both the First Amendment and Congress's authority over federal spending

• President Trump on social media criticized Russia’s Putin for his recent attacks on Ukraine and said Putin is “playing with fire”

• Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has announced that the Covid-19 vaccine will no longer be recommended for pregnant women and healthy children on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s immunization schedule

• The Trump administration is asking federal agencies to eliminate the remaining $100 million in federal contracts with Harvard University

• Federal judge, Lewis Liman, has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from ending NYC’s congestion pricing program or withholding federal funds over it…for now the congestion pricing will continue

• President Trump has pardoned former Virginia sheriff, Scott Jenkins, who was convicted by a jury of accepting over $75,000 in bribes as part of a "cash-for-badges" scheme in which he appointed businessmen into law enforcement officers without them being trained properly

• President Trump will also pardon reality TV stars, Todd and Julie Chrisley, from the show Chrisley Knows Best…they were were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022

• Florida Governor DeSantis has signed a bill into law that recognizes gold and silver as legal tender in Florida…this now allows residents to use gold and silver as money rather than just investment assets

• Salesforce has announced they have acquired the cloud data management company, Informatica, in an $8 billion deal with the goal of improving Salesforce’s AI and data capabilities

• U.S consumer sentiment (how Americans are feeling about the economy) has improved in May for the first time in five months…The Conference Board said that its consumer confidence index rose 12.3 points in May to 98, up from April’s 85.7…read more about it here 

• DOW up 1.78% / S&P up 2.05%
