• The Labor Department proposed a rule to simplify adding alternative assets like cryptocurrency, private equity, private credit, and real estate to 401(k) plans by providing fiduciaries a "safe harbor" after evaluating risks such as fees, liquidity, and performance, fulfilling President Trump's August 2025 executive order

• President Trump said on social media today that the U.S. is in “serious discussions” with a new and more reasonable regime to end our military operations in Iran, but said if a deal is not reached “shortly” more military action is coming…Trump also confirmed to the New York Post that U.S. is negotiating with Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf

• The Pentagon is reportedly preparing for weeks of possible ground operations in Iran, including potential raids by U.S. special operations and conventional forces, as thousands of soldiers and Marines are being moved to the region…President Trump has not approved anything yet and it remains unclear whether he will authorize it or it is a pressure campaign to get Iran to negotiate

• TSA officers began receiving overdue paychecks following President Trump's executive order directing the DHS to compensate roughly 50,000 workers who had gone nearly six weeks without pay amid a partial government shutdown that started on February 14th

• Federal prosecutors are investigating highly profitable bets placed on prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi, suspecting insider trading linked to non-public information

• The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Minnesota's Department of Education and the Minnesota State High School League, claiming their policies permitting transgender girls to compete in girls' sports violate Title IX

• Meta has begun testing a premium subscription tier on Instagram, offering users access to exclusive features like enhanced AI tools, advanced productivity options, and greater content control, while keeping core app functions free

• JetBlue has raised its checked bag fees to offset increased jet fuel costs driven by the Iran war, first bags now cost $39 (up $4 from $35) and second bags $59 (up $9 from $50)
