• In response to Trump’s tariffs, Trump spoke with Mexico's President Sheinbaum and said their tariffs are being paused for one month after Mexico agreed to send 10,000 members of its National Guard to the border to prevent drug trafficking. Canada began the day hitting back with retaliatory tariffs until the early evening when Trump spoke with Canadian PM, Trudeau, and he agreed to also send aide to the northern border therefore halting their tariffs, the trade war will be averted…at least for a month

• The Trump Administration, with the help of Musk, has merged the U.S. Agency for International Development with the State Department with significant cuts to the workforce

• Open AI has introduced a new tool to act as a research analyst called, deep research, this tool has the ability search the web and analyze data to compile a thorough research report

• A crane began removing the wreckage of plane parts out of the Potomac River that were left from the plane crash last week, as of now 55 out of the 67 bodies have been recovered

• Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, made his first international trip to Panama and spoke with officials about reducing China’s influence over the Panama Canal or the U.S. will take “action”

• Trump had signed an executive order creating a sovereign wealth fund, which is a government investment fund that will be used to invest in assets on behalf of the U.S. government

• Joe Biden has signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation as he begins his post-presidential era, per Variety

• Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly taken to the hospital in the middle of the night late last week to undergo an MRI on his knee

• Honda is investing more than $1 billion dollars into Ohio to launch a next generation car factory to manufacture electric vehicles

• Starbucks will be eliminating 30% of its menu in the coming months to simplify offerings and reduce wait times

• Ken Martin, the longtime Minnesota Democratic Chair, has been elected to lead the Democratic National Committee
