  • After the Colombian President originally refused to accept two U.S. military planes carrying deported immigrants, Trump ordered tariffs and sanctions to Colombia, after that threat the White House said Colombia had backed down and would allow the migrants back into Colombia and the tariffs would be halted and a trade war averted

  • Trump is expected to sign multiple executive orders that would make adjustments to the military, including banning transgender service members from serving in the U.S. armed forces, gutting the military’s DEI programs, and reinstating with back pay service members who were discharged for refusing to get the Covid vaccine

  • The U.S. has reported its first case of the H5N9 bird flu in California

  • A 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Maine and was felt around New England

  • Kamala Harris’s Husband, Doug Emhoff, is joining the law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and resuming his legal career

  • The Senate has officially confirmed Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Kristi Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security, and Scott Bessent as Secretary of the Treasury

  • Costco will switch food court sodas from Pepsi to Coca-Cola in the summer

  • DOW up .65% / S&P down 1.46%
