• OpenAI has launched "Instant Checkout," a new feature in ChatGPT that enables U.S. users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans to purchase single items directly from U.S.-based Etsy sellers without leaving the chat interface, the feature is soon expanding to Shopify as well…users can complete purchase, shipping, and payment details directly in ChatGPT with payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, and Link

• President Trump announced on social media that he will impose a 100% tariff on all movies made outside the U.S.

• The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced that it will halt all operations and suspend the release of key economic data, including the highly anticipated jobs report scheduled for Friday, if the U.S. government shuts down due to a lapse in funding

• The Trump administration has unveiled a plan to boost the coal industry, which includes opening 13.1 million acres of federal land for coal mining and allocating $625 million to upgrade and reinvigorate coal-fired power plants nationwide

• Anthropic has launched Claude Sonnet 4.5 which it claims to be the best AI model in the world for coding, building complex agents, and using computers effectively…this model excels in long-duration autonomous tasks, coding, finance, and cybersecurity, with improvements in memory management, context handling, and alignment

• DOW up .15% / S&P up .26%

• President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House where Netanyahu expressed support for the Trump administration’s Gaza peace proposal, the U.S. and Israel are now awaiting Hamas's response
