  • President Trump said that the 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada will be put in place and begin March 4th

  • A federal judge declined to temporarily restore the Associated Press’ access to some of President Trump’s events, the Oval Office, and Air Force One after the Trump Administration banned them last week

  • About 2,000 employees at the U.S. Agency for International Development were laid off and a majority of the remaining staff will be put on administrative leave, this comes after a federal judge permitted the administration to move ahead with the mass firings

  • Vivek Ramaswamy has officially announced he is running for governor of Ohio

  • NYC mayor Adams announced they will close the Asylum Seeker Arrival Center/ migrant shelter at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan

  • Apple said it will invest $500 billion in the U.S. and hire more than 20,000 people over the next four years

  • Starbucks plans to layoff 1,100 corporate employees as the company looks to streamline operations

  • The average age of homebuyers is now 56, up from 49 in 2023, according to the National Association of Realtors

  • DOW up .07% / S&P down .49%
