What happened today 🇺🇸,

  • There was a major widespread internet outage that affected numerous major websites and services including Google, Gmail, Twitch, Discord, Nintendo, Cloudflare, Spotify, and many others that took place around 2:30pm ET…the outage was linked to issues with Google Cloud and Cloudflare, by the early evening the issues had been fixed

  • U.S. officials have been informed that Israel is fully prepared to launch a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities in the coming days, as negotiations between the U.S. and Iran over a nuclear deal have stalled…Envoy Witkoff reportedly in private warned some top Republican Senators that Iran may unleash a “mass casualty” response if Israel does strike

  • President Trump announced today on social media that "changes are coming" to his immigration policies, acknowledging that the ongoing crackdown on illegal immigrants is causing labor shortages and disruptions in key sectors such as agriculture and hospitality

  • The House of Representatives officially passed the bill to codify $9.4 billion of DOGE cuts, including clawing back billions in federal funding for NPR, PBS, and foreign aid…it now moves to the Senate for a vote

  • Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) was forcibly removed and handcuffed during a press conference in L.A. after attempting to question Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem about the Trump administration’s immigration policies…watch the clip here

  • A massive military parade will take place in Washington, D.C. this Saturday June 14th, to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday…the festivities will cost between $25-45 million and a majority of Americans feel this is not a good use of money…later in the day it was reported that the parade may be canceled due to rain and thunderstorms…we will see what progresses

  • The CIA released 54 new declassified documents which total about 1,400 pages surrounding the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968…read more about them here

  • The Trump administration has launched an official website for the proposed $5 million "Trump Card," which is a new investor visa program intended to replace the EB-5 visa and provide wealthy foreigners a direct pathway to U.S. residency and eventual citizenship…the site is trumpcard.gov

  • 22% of Generation Z homeowners bought their home with siblings, up from 12% in 2024 and just 4% in 2023, per Fortune

  • May PPI inflation came in at 2.6% year over year in-line with expectations, Core PPI inflation came in at 3.0% below the expectations of 3.1%

  • U.S. weekly jobless claims remained unchanged from last week and came in at 248,000 for the week ending June 7th which was above the expectations of 242,000

  • DOW up .24% / S&P up .38%

  • An Air India Flight, which was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 people, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on its way to London with authorities reporting one person survived the crash and casualties are also likely on the ground as the plane struck residential buildings…emergency services are responding and investigations are underway
