🗞️Pushing for peace in the Gaza

What happened today 🇺🇸,

• President Trump took to social media this morning to announce he has given Hamas until 6pm ET on Sunday to accept his proposed 20-point Gaza peace plan, Hamas responded later in the day and showed a partial willingness to accept elements of the peace plan, including the release of all Israeli hostages and relinquishing control of Gaza, but said further negotiations are needed on other aspects like governance and disarmament

• The U.S. Treasury Department is considering producing a one-dollar coin featuring President Trump to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence…this would make Trump the first living president to appear on a $1 coin if approved for production in 2026

• The U.S. military conducted another strike on a suspected drug trafficking vessel off the coast of Venezuela, killing four men aboard…this strike is the fourth in a series since early September and targeted a boat that was allegedly carrying narcotics destined for the U.S.

• A statue depicting President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands, titled "Best Friends Forever" and later renamed "Why Can't We Be Friends?", has returned to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., after first being removed by the National Park Service for permit noncompliance…the statue was created by the anonymous artist group and is authorized to remain until October 6th

• The Trump administration has frozen $2.1 billion in federal funding for infrastructure projects in Chicago citing concerns over “race-based contracting”

• Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to 4 years in prison for prostitution-related charges

• Apple has removed the ICEBlock app and similar ICE-tracking apps from its App Store after a request from the Department of Justice, citing safety risks for law enforcement officers

• The top 10% of Americans (which are those with a net worth of more than $2 million) added $5 trillion to their wealth in the second quarter 2025, bringing their total wealth to a record $113 trillion…read more here 

• The Bureau of Labor Statistics did not release their jobs report today due to the government shutdown

• DOW up .51% / S&P up .01%
