What happened today 🇺🇸,

• Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, testified in a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee and denied having any knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's or Ghislaine Maxwell's crimes…she said she had no knowledge of Epstein's activities, never met him, and accused Republicans of political theater to shield President Trump

• President Trump met with NYC Mayor Mamdani at the White House today, their discussions reportedly covered housing, affordability, and NYC priorities

• The Justice Department announced it is reviewing whether certain Epstein files, including FBI interview notes on unverified 1980s sexual assault allegations against President Trump by a woman who also implicated Epstein, were improperly withheld from public release…this follows reports of missing documents listed in evidence logs, prompting Democratic accusations of a cover-up…the DOJ denies deletions, stating files were held for victim privacy or ongoing probes, and will release any relevant ones post-review

• The U.S. and Iran held the third round of indirect nuclear talks today in Geneva, a senior U.S. official called the session "positive”, paving the way for more talks in Vienna next week…read more here

• Reports today stated that President Trump is being urged by activists to declare a national emergency citing alleged Chinese interference in the 2020 election…there is a 17-page draft executive order circulating that would grant him authority over elections and to impose federal oversight, though legal experts call it unconstitutional, as states control elections under the Constitution

• FEMA's Disaster Relief Fund has fallen below $5 billion as of this week amid payouts for recent storms on the east coast, leaving it vulnerable to depletion during the ongoing DHS government shutdown without congressional action to restore funding

• The Pentagon sent Anthropic their "best and final offer" for unrestricted military use of its Claude AI model, ahead of Secretary Hegseth’s Friday 5 p.m. deadline…later in the evening Axios reported that Anthropic has rejected the Pentagon's final offer

• Instagram will launch a new safety feature within the next week that will alert parents if their teens search for terms related to suicide or self-harm

• The Wall Street Journal reported that The Washington Post lost more than $100 million in 2025, after losing roughly $100 million in 2024 and about $77 million in 2023

• eBay announced they are cutting approximately 800 jobs, or 6% of its full-time workforce

• S&P down .54% / Nasdaq down 1.18% / DOW up .03%

• Børge Brende announced he is stepping down as president and CEO of the World Economic Forum after scrutiny of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein
