• The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has sued LA Fitness, alleging they make it exceedingly difficult for consumers to cancel gym memberships

• Federal Reserve Governor, Lisa Cook, has been referred to the Department of Justice for alleged mortgage fraud by Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA)…President Trump has called for her immediate resignation following these allegations

• Federal judge, Fred Biery, has temporarily blocked Texas’ law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom, finding it likely violates both the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses of the First Amendment…read more here 

• Since taking office in January 2025, President Trump has purchased over $100 million in corporate, state, and municipal bonds according to recent disclosures

• New York Federal judge, Richard Berman, has denied the Department of Justice's request to unseal grand jury transcripts related to Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking case, the judge ruled that the grand jury material contains minimal new information compared to the extensive investigative documents already held by the DOJ…this marks the third time a federal judge has rejected efforts to release these sensitive grand jury records, citing concerns about privacy and the safety of victims

• Target has announced that Michael Fiddelke, the company's current Chief Operating Officer and a longtime executive with over 20 years at the company, will become the new CEO

• Lowe's has agreed to buy Foundation Building Materials (FBM), a major North American distributor of interior building products, for approximately $8.8 billion

• Amazon has launched a new partnership with Hertz to sell used rental cars on its Amazon Autos online marketplace

• McDonald’s is lowering the prices of eight popular combo meals by 15% starting next month as part of an effort to improve affordability and attract more customers

• In 2025, 69% of U.S. businesses track employee attendance, marking a large increase from 45% in 2024
