What happened today 🇺🇸,

• Netflix announced it has reached a deal to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery for $82.7 billion, marking one of the largest media deals ever and reshaping Hollywood by merging Netflix's streaming services with Warner's studios, HBO Max, and franchises like DC, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones…the deal is still contingent on regulatory approvals

• A federal judge in Florida ordered the unsealing of grand jury transcripts and records from the 2005-2007 investigations into Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking…the ruling paves the way for public release of unclassified materials related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, though the exact timeline for disclosure remains unclear

• The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted 8-3 on to rescind the longstanding recommendation for hepatitis B vaccination within 24 hours of birth for all newborns, shifting to "shared decision-making" for infants of mothers testing negative, with vaccination delayed until at least 2 months old…the change, pending final CDC director approval, retains the birth dose only for high-risk cases like positive maternal tests

• President Trump announced on social media that he has approved the production of "tiny cars" in the U.S.

• President Trump was awarded FIFA's new Peace Prize at the 2026 World Cup draw in Washington, D.C., presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino

• SpaceX is discussing a secondary share sale that would value the company at $800 billion, more than doubling its prior $400 billion valuation from earlier 2025 and positioning it ahead of OpenAI's $500 billion mark as the most valuable U.S. private company

• The New York Times have sued Perplexity AI alleging copyright infringement for scraping and reproducing millions of its articles, videos, and other content without permission to train and power its AI chatbots and search engine

• The European Commission has fined Elon Musk's X $140 million under the Digital Services Act for deceptive blue checkmarks that mislead users on account authenticity, inadequate advertising transparency, and blocking researcher access to public data

• Meta announced that it has signed multiple commercial AI data agreements with news publishers including USA Today, People Inc., CNN, Fox News, The Daily Caller, Washington Examiner, and Le Monde, enabling its Meta AI chatbot to deliver real-time news responses with links to their articles

• September PCE inflation, the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation measure, came in at 2.8% year over year which was in-line with expectations, Core PCE inflation came in at 2.8% year over year which was below expectations of 2.9%

• DOW up .22% / S&P up .19%
