What happened today 🇺🇸,

• President Trump said he is sending National Guard troops to Memphis, Tennessee, as part of his nationwide crime crackdown and stated both Memphis Mayor Paul Young and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee support the move…later Memphis Mayor Young spoke out saying that he did not support the decision

• Officials have identified 22-year-old Utah resident, Tyler Robinson, as the person accused of shooting and killing Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University…Robinson was arrested following a two-day manhunt after his family alerted authorities to his possible involvement and he now faces charges that include aggravated murder and obstruction of justice

• California lawmakers have passed a bill that would prohibit federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and other law enforcement officers from wearing masks or face coverings while carrying out raids and public operations in the state…the legislation now awaits Governor Newsom’s signature before it can become law

• Missouri’s Legislature has passed a new congressional redistricting plan which would help Republicans pick up another U.S. House seat…the plan is expected to be signed into law by Governor Kehoe, although Democrats have vowed to challenge it in court and with a planned referendum vote

• Striking Boeing defense workers in Missouri voted to reject the company’s latest contract offer, prolonging the strike that has lasted since early August…read more here 

• Tether has announced plans to launch USA₮, a new U.S.-regulated and dollar-backed stablecoin designed to strengthen the dominance of the U.S. dollar in digital markets while complying with the recently enacted GENIUS Act, which governs stablecoin issuance in the U.S.

• Nearly 70% of Americans now believe the American Dream either doesn't hold true anymore or never did, the highest level in 15 years of polling on this topic, according to a Wall Street Journal-NORC poll
