• President Trump took to social media and stated that he is asking the Department of Justice and FBI to investigate Jeffrey Epstein's alleged ties with several high-profile figures and financial institutions including former President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, venture capitalist Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan, and others…read the summary from AllSides here 

• The U.S. and Switzerland have reached a trade deal that reduces U.S. tariffs on Swiss goods to 15%, down from 39%…as part of the deal Swiss companies have pledged to invest at least $200 billion in the U.S. by 2028

• President Trump has reduced tariffs on beef, tomatoes, coffee, bananas, and other agricultural products in an attempt to lower the costs of those goods at grocery stores

• The 2020 Georgia election interference case against President Trump will continue with a new prosecutor, Pete Skandalakis, who appointed himself after others declined the role following the disqualification of the original District Attorney, Fani Willis…Skandalakis stated his goal is to handle the case properly and fairly, though he has just begun reviewing the extensive case files and the case's future proceedings remain uncertain

• A White House national security memo alleges that Alibaba Group Holding is providing technological support, including access to customer data, to the Chinese military for operations targeting America…Alibaba has denied these claims

• The current CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon, will retire effective January 31st, 2026... John Furner, who is currently head of Walmart’s U.S. operations and a longtime company executive, will take over as CEO on February 1st, 2026

• Google announced plans to invest $40 billion in three new data centers in Texas

• A U.S. private equity firm, RedBird Capital Partners, has withdrawn it $657 million bid to acquire the Telegraph Media Group, leaving the future of the major British publisher uncertain…the Telegraph is now seeking alternative solutions to secure its future

• The price of Bitcoin has dropped to around $95,000, marking its lowest price in six months

• DOW down .65% / S&P down .05%

• Russia unleashed a major drone and missile attack on Kyiv killing six people and injuring least 35 others, causing damage to apartment buildings and infrastructure…the attack involved around 430 drones and 18 missiles, with Ukraine using Patriot air defense systems to intercept many of the projectiles and Ukraine retaliated with strikes on Russian oil facilities
