  • California Governor, Gavin Newsom, has filed a $787 million defamation lawsuit against Fox News, alleging the network and host Jesse Watters falsely accused him of lying about his communications with President Trump

  • The Supreme Court ruled that public schools must allow parents to opt their children out of lessons featuring LGBTQ-themed storybooks if the parents think the lessons conflict with their religious beliefs and the Supreme Court ruled to limit the power of lower courts to issue nationwide injunctions that block federal policies, including President Trump’s executive order aiming to end birthright citizenship

  • President Trump announced on social media that the U.S. is immediately ending all trade talks with Canada in response to Canada’s new digital services tax targeting American technology companies…read more here

  • Andrew Cuomo will stay in the NYC mayoral race for now as an independent candidate after losing the Democratic primary to Zohran Mamdani…Cuomo has decided not to withdraw his name from the November general election ballot and will appear on the independent line, though he has not yet committed to actively campaigning and is waiting to see more data from the primary before making further decisions about his campaign

  • The Trump administration is ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 520,000 Haitians living in the U.S.

  • The Navy is renaming the USNS Harvey Milk which was a ship named after Harvey Milk who was a gay rights leader and Navy veteran…the ship will now be called the USNS Oscar V. Peterson to honor a Navy sailor who died heroically in World War II and received the Medal of Honor for his bravery

  • Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have signed a U.S.-brokered peace agreement to end years of deadly conflict in eastern Congo that has displaced millions and fueled one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises

  • Hertz has started using AI-powered scanners at select airport locations to automatically check rental cars for damage, including small scratches, dents, and issues the human eye might miss

  • J.M. Smucker has announced it will remove all artificial colors and synthetic dyes from its consumer food products by the end of 2027, including brands like Uncrustables and Hostess

  • May PCE inflation, the Fed's preferred inflation measure, came in at 2.3% year over year which was expected, Core PCE inflation came in at 2.7% year over year above the expectations of 2.6%

  • DOW up 1% / S&P up .52%

  • The S&P 500 hit an all-time high today
