  • Cornell University has reached a deal with the Trump administration to restore over $250 million in federal funding, which was previously suspended over allegations regarding discrimination…as part of the agreement Cornell will pay $30 million to the government, invest another $30 million in agricultural research, provide anonymized admissions data, and conduct annual campus climate surveys

  • Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, met with President Trump at the White House today…during the visit they discussed Hungary's reliance on Russian oil and Orban requested an exemption from U.S. sanctions due to Hungary's landlocked position and limited alternatives…the meeting underscored the strong personal relationship between the two leaders and focused on expanding cooperation in energy, defense, and economic sectors amid the ongoing war in Ukraine

  • The Trump administration has asked a federal appeals court for an emergency pause on a recent federal judge's order that mandates full funding of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November…despite this request, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has directed states to begin fully funding the SNAP program immediately, in compliance with the court order issued by the Rhode Island judge yesterday

  • President Trump announced a trade and economic agreement between the U.S. and Uzbekistan, in which Uzbekistan will invest and purchase nearly $35 billion in U.S. goods and services over the next three years and more than $100 billion over the next decade

  • Republican House of Representative member, Elise Stefanik, has officially announced her run for governor of New York, challenging Democratic incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul in the 2026 election

  • President Trump said on social media that he has instructed the Department of Justice to open an investigation into meatpacking companies, he accused these companies of unlawfully "driving up the price of beef" through "illicit collusion, price fixing, and price manipulation”

  • President Trump has pardoned former Tennessee House Speaker, Glen Casada, and his former chief of staff, Cade Cothren, who were convicted on federal corruption charges related to a scheme involving taxpayer-funded mail services

  • Wendy’s is planning to close 240 to 360 underperforming restaurants across the U.S. starting in late 2025, as part of its “Project Fresh” turnaround plan aimed at strengthening the brand and improving profitability

  • U.S. consumer sentiment (how consumers are feeling about the economy and their personal financial situation) in November dropped to its lowest level in over three years, with the University of Michigan's Consumer Sentiment Index falling to 50.3, down from 53.6 in October which is nearly a 6% decline…read more here
