What happened today 🇺🇸,

  • President Trump announced a deal with Pfizer under which Pfizer will reduce prices on many of its medications for Medicaid, the agreement also includes a temporary three-year suspension of proposed pharmaceutical tariffs contingent on Pfizer expanding domestic manufacturing and the launch of a new website called "TrumpRx" that will allow Americans to buy discounted drugs directly from manufacturers

  • President Trump hosted a rare and unprecedented gathering of top U.S. military leaders, including hundreds of generals, admirals, and senior officials from around the world at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia…at the meeting, Trump urged military leaders to boost morale and confront what he called “the enemy within” and Secretary Hegseth announced reforms to restore a “warrior ethos” by emphasizing fitness and discipline…read more about the meeting here and watch the speeches here 

  • For the first time since 2018, the U.S. is on the verge of a government shutdown as Congress has so far failed to agree on a funding bill before the deadline which is midnight tonight…we’ll see if a deal can be reached or if the government will shutdown…for live updates click here

  • California Governor Newsom signed into law the Transparency in Frontier Artificial Intelligence Act (SB 53), which is an AI transparency bill requiring large AI companies to publicly disclose their safety plans/protocols and report major safety incidents to the state

  • OpenAI released a social app called "Sora" which closely resembles TikTok with a vertical video feed and swipe-to-scroll navigation…the app will exclusively feature AI-generated videos

  • DoorDash has announced the launch of its first autonomous delivery robot called Dot, designed to operate on bike lanes, streets, and sidewalks at speeds up to 20 miles per hour…Dot will initially serve the Phoenix, Arizona area

  • Spotify has named Gustav Söderström and Alex Norström as its new co-CEOs effective January 1st, 2026…Daniel Ek, the company's founder and current CEO, will transition to the role of executive chairman

  • The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has sued Zillow and Redfin, alleging they illegally conspired to eliminate competition in the online multifamily rental listing market

  • Exxon Mobil announced plans to cut around 2,000 jobs worldwide as part of a long-term global restructuring

  • DOW up .18% / S&P up .41%
