A recent Stanford study found that generative AI adoption has led to a 13% decline in employment for early-career workers (ages 22-25) in the most AI-exposed jobs such as software development and customer service…the study shows that AI is primarily displacing entry-level jobs that AI can automate, raising concerns about young workers struggling to find their first job in certain industries despite overall employment growth in less AI-affected roles
Federal Reserve Governor, Lisa Cook, has filed a lawsuit against President Trump challenging his attempt to remove her from office, arguing that the president lacks the legal authority to fire her without cause as defined by the Federal Reserve Act…the lawsuit describes Trump's effort as "illegal and unprecedented," stating that the unproven mortgage fraud allegations used as a pretext for her removal do not constitute valid grounds ("cause") for dismissal
The U.S. economy's second-quarter GDP was revised upward to an annualized rate of 3.3%, surpassing the initial estimate of 3% and economist expectations
