What happened today 🇺🇸,

• The White House released an AI action plan titled "Winning the AI Race: America’s AI Action Plan," focusing on accelerating U.S. AI innovation, building cutting-edge infrastructure like data centers, and strengthening international diplomacy to outpace China…the plan includes over 90 policy initiatives aimed at removing regulatory barriers, promoting free speech and unbiased AI, protecting U.S. technologies from misuse, and expanding export partnerships with allies to maintain economic competitiveness and national security

• Federal judge, Robin Rosenberg, in Florida has denied the Trump Administration’s request to unseal grand jury transcripts from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation in that state…read more here 

• The U.S. Department of Justice told President Trump in May 2025 that his name appeared in the Epstein Files

• The U.S. State Department has launched an investigation into Harvard University’s management of the J-1 visa exchange program, citing concerns over national security and compliance with federal regulations…Harvard has denounced the investigation as retaliatory and vows to continue supporting its international community while cooperating with authorities

• The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has announced she officially referred documents to the Justice Department accusing former President Obama and his administration of manufacturing and faking intelligence documents in an attempt to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory

• French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have filed a defamation lawsuit against podcaster Candace Owens accusing her of spreading false claims that Brigitte Macron was born male and other defamatory theories

• Starting next month, Uber will launch a new “Women Preferences” feature in L.A., San Francisco, and Detroit, allowing women riders and drivers to opt into being matched exclusively with other women…the move is aimed at boosting safety and comfort for female users on the platform

• Jeff Bezos is reportedly considering acquiring CNBC following its planned spinoff from NBCUniversal

• U.S. existing home sales fell 2.7% in June from May to 3.93 million units, the lowest pace since September 2024

• DOW up 1.14% / S&P up .78%

• Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy signed a law that weakens the independence of Ukraine’s main anti-corruption agencies by placing them under the control of the prosecutor general, who is appointed by him…this move sparked widespread protests across Ukraine, with critics warning it undermines democratic reforms
